The Grey Funnel Line is an interactive sound-sculpture, playing on Cyril Tawney’s song of the same name. A voice emanates from each end, allowing the viewer to hear the song in harmony and manipulate the sculpture by spinning it from its hanging, allowing the sound to continuously change in relation to the gallery space. The sculpture is part of a continual research project work on the relationship between song and British imperial maritime power.
